Elementary Library

Secondary Library

Since the beginning of our August 2005, we have successfully operated two libraries, the Elementary library and the Secondary library. Both libraries are well-equipped with qualified staff and extensive collections. 

In our Secondary library we have one full time Senior Librarian Fiona Mulvaney and two full time Library Assistants Sheikha and Rita, not to mention a dedicated staff of helpers and volunteers.

The Elementary library is staffed by a full time Teacher-Librarian Sarah Allum and a full-time Library Assistant Miyasa

Here at the ABA library we run the Follett database system and computers school wide are Library OPAC and Internet linked.

Library Resources:

Both Elementary and Secondary libraries have extensive reference, fiction and non-fiction collections,  over 21,000 titles in total.  The number of items circulated or borrowed in 2004-2005 were 26,838.

We also have over 1000 videos & DVD's  suitable for K1 right through to Grade 12 IB. Each library has a small but growing World Literature collection with French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish books catering to the needs of our international student body.
